Nosferatu
A Multimedia Event
With UW-Parkside Foreign Film Series
Come and experience the wonder of a new composition, a 1922
pioneering cinematic masterpiece, and some of Southeastern
Wisconsin’s finest performing artists as they collaborate to
present a scintillating Halloween event. Composer-in-residence
Karel Suchy’s score, premiered in October 2008, and the power
of the CAS are perfect foils for this spooky classic. Roger Ebert
said of the first Dracula film ever made, “Nosferatu . . . doesn’t
scare us, but it haunts us.” Suchy’s “Sound Poem” draws on a
wide variety of musical styles. This production will include
exciting new elements developed by collaborating artists and
arts groups. Join CAS for this haunting seasonal performance in
an elegant setting.
